REGULATIONS FOR PRIZE CONTEST
“50 for winning. CAREL's history makes you win”
Art. 11 – D.P.R. 430/2001
The following regulation (hereinafter, the “Regulation”) establishes the conditions and methods for operation, in compliance with the provisions of the Presidential Decree. 430/2001, of a prize competition (hereinafter, the “Contest”) promoted by the company CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A., as specified below.
ARTICLE 1 - PROMOTING COMPANY
The promoting company of the Contest is CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A., with registered office in Brugine 35020 (PD), Via dell’Industria 11, Tax Code, VAT number and registration number in the Companies Register of Padova PD – 04359090281.
ARTICLE 2 - DENOMINATION
The Contest will be named “50 for winning. CAREL’s history makes you win”.
ARTICLE 3 - TERRITORIAL SCOPE AND RECIPIENTS
ARTICLE 4 - DESIGNATED ENTITY FOR THE OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPETITION
E-Business Consulting S.r.l. with registered office and administrative headquarters at Corso del Popolo, 8 – 35131 Padova, Tax Code and VAT number 03800270286.
ARTICLE 5 – PURPOSE OF THE CONTEST
This Contest was created with the aim of publicizing the brand of the Promoting Company and retaining customers and fostering awareness in relation to the 50th anniversary of the founding of CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. and its history.
ARTICLE 6 – DURATION
- From October 16, 2023, to December 4, 2023.
- Final draw by December 13, 2023.
ARTICLE 7 – CONDUCT PROCEDURE OF THE CONTEST
The Contest will be accessible at the domain www.carelcontest.com, and the following data will be required to participate:
- Surname
- First Name
- Phone or Mobile Number
- Email Address
By accepting these regulations, consenting to the processing of personal data, and declaring their legal age, participation will be allowed.
The Contest is divided into two phases:
- The first phase in which customers will have to participate in an instant win by answering a questionnaire with 8 multiple-choice questions with 4 options about the company’s history of CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. Only by correctly answering 100% of the questionnaire questions, participants can enter the instant win.
- The second phase involves a final draw among all instant win’s participants who have correctly answered 100% of the questionnaire questions.
For the instant win (Phase 1), one winner will be drawn each day during the 50 days of the Contest, from October 16, 2023, to December 4, 2023. The instant win prize will be immediately communicated to the user via SMS and email, subject to subsequent verification, as each mobile number and email can be associated with only one supply code and can therefore participate only once. This means that a user will be able to participate in the Contest several times but once drawn as the winner of the instant win they will no longer be able to validly access the competition.
For the final draw (Phase 2), three winners and 30 alternates will be drawn. The results of the final draw will be communicated to the winners by December 13, 2023.
The verification of the winners will be completed by December 18th 2023, the vouchers for the draw prizes will be sent by December 21st 2023.
ARTICLE 8 – PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING THE PRIZES
Regarding the final draw, the winners will be informed by December 13, 2023, about the draw or, in any case, in due time to allow the winner to fully enjoy the Prize.
To validate the win, the winner will be required to send an email with their personal details, including a copy of their ID card still in force.
The email must be sent to contestcarel@e-businessconsulting.it within 7 days from communication.
The prize will be delivered to the eligible recipients within 180 days from the end of the competition as provided for in Article 1, paragraph 3 of D.P.R. n. 430 – October 26, 2001, specifically within this Contest no later than the 21st of December 2023.
In the event that the winning user does not validate his winnings within 7 days, by sending his personal data including address, tax code and copy of his identity card, the extracted and non- validated prize will be assigned to one of the 30 reserves defined in final drawing venue according to drawing order.

The e-gifts with the winner’s code will be sent from the address contest@carel.com to the winner’s email address, both for the instant win and for the prizes in the final draw.
ARTICLE 9 – PRIZE AMOUNT
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any access, impediment, dysfunction, or difficulty that may prevent users from accessing the service and participating in the contest. The prize cannot be transferred. The winner who is unable or unwilling to use the prize will not be entitled to any sum of money. The prize offered cannot be converted into cash or gold tokens. If at the time of awarding the prize, the model or type of the prize offered in this contest is no longer produced or marketed, CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. undertakes to deliver to the winner a prize of equal nature and/or type, both in terms of performance and market value. In this case, the winner cannot claim the originally promised prize and will be satisfied with the one otherwise delivered following the aforementioned criteria.
The prizes offered in this Contest are:

For the final draw, three vouchers from Hotel Gift (https://www.hotelgift.com/corporate- gifts/):
- First prize: Hotel Gift voucher of 1.500 euro
- Second prize: Hotel Gift voucher of 1.000 euro
- Third prize: Hotel Gift voucher of 500 euro
Total prize amount 3.899.90 euro excluding VAT.
ARTICLE 10 – LIABILITY RELATED TO PRIZE USAGE
Regarding the aforementioned prize, it is specified that no liability is attributed to the Promoter in case of improper use by the winners of the prize or by individuals who are not suitable in terms of age or psycho-physical conditions. The Promoter is also not liable in case of malfunctions or faults in the awarded prize, for which all manufacturer or distributor/dealer warranties and the related limitations or extensions referred to in the individual prize apply.
ARTICLE 11 – AMENDMENT OF THESE REGULATIONS
CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. reserves the right to modify all or part of the content of the articles of these regulations, with prior notification to the Ministry of Economic Development, ensuring that the changes made do not in any way prejudice the rights of participants in the prize competition in compliance with the provisions of Article 10, paragraph 4, D.P.R. 430/01. In such cases, the participants will be informed of the changes in the same manner they became aware of the initial conditions.
ARTICLE 11 – AMENDMENT OF THESE REGULATIONS
This regulation, signed by the Managing Director of the Company, has been previously submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development along with the expected communication of the prize competition. In accordance with Article 11, DPR 26/10/2001, No. 430, the prize competition regulations will be available to competitors on the website of CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. https://www.carel.com/ and https://www.carel.it/.
ARTICLE 13 – GUARANTEE
To guarantee the promised prizes, the necessary guarantee will be provided in favor of the Ministry of Economic Development.
ARTICLE 14 – WAIVER OF RECOURSE
The Promoter declares to waive the right of recourse against the winners for the amounts paid, as a substitute tax, for the IRPEF withholdings provided for by Article 30 of D.P.R. No. 600 of 29/9/1973.
ARTICLE 15 – PRIZE DEVOLUTION
The unassigned prizes will be donated to the ONLUS association “Città della Speranza Foundation Onlus”, (Viale del Lavoro 12 – 36030 Monte di Malo (VI), Tax Code 92081880285) pursuant to art. 10 paragraph 5 of DPR 26/10/2001, n°430”.
ARTICLE 16 – TREATMENT OF PERSONAL DATA
It should be noted that the data collected by E-Business Consulting when participating in the “50 for winning. CAREL’s history makes you win” Contest will be processed as independent Data Controller in full compliance with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679, General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), for purposes related to participation in the competition. To this end, E-Business Consulting S.r.l., Corso del Popolo, 8 – 35131 Padova, will communicate the data collected on the winners to CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A., which in turn is the independent data controller, having been E-Business Consulting S.r.l. expressly delegated by CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. to represent it in all the formalities relating to the competition and in the verbalization operations connected with the awarding of the prizes and the closing of the competition, pursuant to Art. 4 of this Regulation. For the possible exercise of your rights, you can contact E-Business Consulting S.r.l. at any time.
ARTICLE 17 – ADVERTISING AND REGULATIONS
The advertising will be carried out through the internet, newsletter, social media (Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter), website and press.
ARTICLE 18 – MISCELLANEOUS
The location of the competition server is located in Italy. The mechanism for identifying the winners and the consequent awarding of prizes is carried out via software located in Italy. Participation in this Contest, available at the domain www.carelcontest.com, implies unconditional and total acceptance of the rules and clauses contained in this Regulation, without any limitation, including the privacy information referred to in Article 16 of this Regulation, available on the website of CAREL INDUSTRIES S.p.A. https://www.carel.com/ and https://www.carel.it/
